It was chilly in spring. I returned to Tibet on the eleventh day of the Lunar New Year.

The flight was supposed to arrive in the afternoon. It was late because of a snow on the plateau. It was nearly midnight when it arrived at its destination. Out of the airport, under the pure starry sky, I was surrounded by the unique atmosphere of the plateau, inch by inch. Take a deep breath, the familiar and cordial taste hit my face. For a moment, I felt like I had never left in a trance. After returning to Beijing for two months, what often appears in the midnight dream is the vast and high blue sky in Nimu, an endless stream of pilgrims kowtowing their heads, colleagues in the county hospital who call us "teachers" and Tibetan patients suffering from diseases but living peacefully in isolation.

Come to Tibet, whether you like it or not,your heart will be imperceptibly washed and you will be reborn. For this, every newcomer will pay a price. When we returned to Tibet, the altitude sickness caused by hypoxia abused us again, and it was more violent than when we arrived last summer. As if the Tang Monk had recited the tight hoop mantra, the headache and swelling of the head arrived as scheduled; Walking on an ordinary road, it seems that the deer bumping against your chest will pop out; The wet lips had dried up and cracked in two days; When you climb three floors slowly, you have to hold the stairs and breathe for a long time... Although we are very experienced，inhaling oxygen and eating a piece of Fenbid can relieve our headache, it is still necessary to speak softly and walk slowly just like a goose or duck. Here, the life of "I don't know whether I'm asleep, full, or ill or not" began.

Altitude sickness has not spared others, either. A member of the Dangxiong medical team fell to the ground dizzy, breaking a long cut in his superciliary arch. Many cadres in Nimu County were transferred to work in Tibet. They have altitude sickness when they come back from the mainland during the Spring Festival. Headache, insomnia, fatigue, suffering from excessive internal heat, panic and high altitude hypertension are the most common. If you catch a cold, it will be more troublesome and often last for more than a month. Therefore, the medical security in the county during this period is also one of the important tasks of our medical team. We use the rest time to organize their physical examination, blood pressure examination, blood glucose measurement, give out drugs according to the symptoms, put forward treatment plans, tell them precautions, and make sure their medical care and give them medicine... Sometimes I think it is not easy to be a support doctor for Tibet just one year, but compared with those who have been working in Tibet for many years, that is "giving up their small family and taking care of everyone".

Because the medical team is on leave in winter, the operation in Nimu County Hospital hospital has been suspended for two months. Tibetan compatriots here, regardless of large and small operations, have to travel a long way to Lhasa, which is inconvenient and very hard. Back in Nimu, the medical team immediately put into the daily diagnosis and treatment work of the County Hospital, although we were all flustered,short of and were always out of breath. Chiliequzong, a herdsman in Xumai Township, suffered from intermittent pain in her right lower abdomen during the Spring Festival. She had another acute attack just two days later after we arrived, so we cooperated closely and gave her an emergency appendectomy, starting our surgical trip in 2018.

altitude sickness challenged us, but the people in Nimu County let us feel their enthusiasm again. The County Party Committee organized a new year's party on the night before the Lantern Festival. We were lucky to be invited to see the grand occasion of Tibetan compatriots celebrating the Tibetan New Year. The Tibetan tables in the canteen are arranged in a circle. On each table, there are a plate of various and colorful "Kasai" (pasta fried with butter), a plate of local green food stewed potatoes, a bowl yak yogurt mixed with ginseng fruit, and endless butter tea. The most important ceremony of the Tibetan New Year is to take turns to eat "Chema" (a grain bucket painted with colored patterns, which is filled with Zanba?made of butter mixed with fried wheat grains on the left and right, with highland barley ears and colored flowers on it)“ "Chema" symbolizes harvest and good luck. It is very particular when eating: first grab a handful of Zanba with the thumb and index finger of your right hand and sprinkle it into the air to worship heaven and earth (three times), then pick up fried wheat grains in your left hand and put them into your mouth, and finally drink a large bowl of home brewed highland barley wine held by your master in three bites. When the big bowl of golden and cool highland barley wine came into my stomach, liquor does not intoxicate; I intoxicate myself. The climax of the New Year's greeting party was to give Hada to each other as gift - everyone walked in circles with white Hada in their hands, sent hada to each other and blessed each other: "Happy New Year! Tashi Delek! " At the moment, there is no altitude sickness. Everyone has a happy smiling face and a warm heart. After that, we sat together for dinner and toast, tasted highland barley wine, and ate authentic hand-held yak meat, which burst out with happiness.

On the night of the Lantern Festival, Nimu is empty and silent under the night curtain. The three connecting stars on the Orion hunter's belt hang high in the southern sky, shining, echoing the Big Dipper seven stars on the northern slope. The jade wheel（refer to the moon） on the top of the east mountain is beginning to appear. Relatives in the distance, the moon is on the willow tip. Shall we meet again？
